Booking a great wedding photographer shouldn’t be hard. We have compiled a list of questions that we get asked a lot. If you don’t find your answer here, please feel free to contact our studio. We would love to answer any questions you may have.
What’s your history and experience with wedding photography?
I have been photographing weddings for over 12 years now. Photography and art have always been an integral part of my life and always evolving with new technologies, my interest in picture making, led me to my first career in product photography and graphic design where I was constantly surrounded by graphic and pop culture imagery. In college, I started black & white film photography and graphic design. I loved the dark room experience but absolutely digital technology. From my very first wedding, I was drawn to the romance, the story, and everything wedding related. It led me to a full-time passion and career in wedding photography.
How would you describe your photography style?
Photojournalism! There is nothing like capturing true joy on a happy couple’s face. My fine art photo-journalistic approaches to photography will give you a perfect wedding coverage while you enjoy your special day and looking fabulous. I will ensure all the moments are impeccably documented. My goal is to make sure our clients not only like their wedding photos, but fall in-love with their photos.
My style of wedding photography deeply rooted in photojournalism while influenced by fine-art and landscape and fashion photography. I love using creative lighting, unique perspectives, angles and artistic compositions to bring out my clients personalities and beauty while telling their true wedding story.
How do I choose the right photographer - what are their differences?

When will we receive our photos?
All your wedding photos will be delivered within 6-8 weeks from your wedding date. We will send you 10 to 15 teasers within 5-7 days of your wedding date.
How many photos can we expect?
We don’t have a set number and it does depend on the size of your wedding. If you have two photographers for eight hours, then it tends to result in approximately 600 to 800 photos. We definitely shoot more photos, but we edit out the shots that feature more of the floor than the faces of your friends, and we delete any shots where someone has walked in front of the camera. Nobody needs to see those, those will be deleted.
Do we receive digital photos?
Yes, all of our packages include high-resolution images so you can post them online or have them printed at your convenience.
What are your deliverables?
All collections include a gallery-style password protected online gallery (good for 1 year!) and most collections also include a USB and a flash mount wedding album as well. Our beautiful online gallery of proofs is an exciting way to share your images with your family and friends.
Are our digital files watermarked?
No they are not, high-resolution files do not have any watermarks.
Do you edit all photos you deliver?
It might sound crazy but Yes, I do. I mainly focus on couple portraits, family formals, details & decor. All other images are color corrected and cropped.
Do we receive RAW and un-edited files?
The RAW and unedited files aren’t available for viewing or purchase. Please be assure that any images are not delivered are only those with eyes closed, flash didn’t fire, person walked-in-front of the lens. We do not cull to meet maximum number of images rather we carefully edit, crop and color correct every image we deliver.
I have video in my pacakge? When will I receive my video?
Our video editing process is probably the most extensive part of our production process, that’s why it takes some time to produce. If you have highlight-reel with your package, we will send you 3-5 min. highlight-reel within 3-4 weeks of your wedding date. We give you a full length edited video within 3-4 months from your wedding date,
All videos are edited in wedding date order. The RAW and unedited files aren’t available for viewing or purchase.
Coverage & Travel
How many hours of coverage will we have on our wedding day?
It really depends on the package you select. Most of our packages include Full Day Coverage! Full Day coverage consists of a start time of 2 hours prior to the ceremony start time OR 4 hours prior to the ceremony if the couple is doing a First Look. We are with you until midnight or last dance (whichever comes first), however, we will not exceed 12 hours. Every day is different!
How many photographers should I have at my wedding?
It really depends on number of things. A second photographer is always recommended if you wish to emphasize photo-journalistic photography, or if you have a large number of wedding guests. Two photographers can work together for excellent coverage throughout your day with true photo-journalistic excellence.
For a 200-250 person wedding, we recommend two photographers and one assistant. However, we specialize in shooting weddings that are unique, therefore we customize the photography coverage based on your day and your need.
Does your company provide videography services?
In addition to our photography services, we also provide documentary style video as well as cinematography services.
Do you offer engagement session?
Yes, I do offer engagement sessions.
Do you offer any discounts on weekday weddings or winter weddings?
Yes, I do offer discounts on weekday weddings and some winter weddings. Please contact us for details.
What happens if I have to change my wedding date?
If for some reason you have to change your date we can do so at no extra charge as long as it is available and within 5 months of the original date. Otherwise we have to create a new contract. If the new date is unavailable the old contract will be cancelled and the retainer will not be refunded.
What if something happens to my photographer on my wedding day?
Once committed, our photographers will be there! There are no ifs, whys or buts. However, if something tragic occurs we would have one of our other studio photographers fill in. We are also very connected in the photography world, so we’ll have you covered.
Are there travel fees?
All travel expenses are based on the distance of your event locations: Within 3 hours round-trip or 90 miles round-trip from Manhattan – Free.
More than 120 miles round-trip or 3 hours to 6 hours round-trip from Manhattan – $100 per shooter.
All destinations beyond 6 hours round-trip will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Do you do destination weddings? How do you handle travel?
Yes, we would love to travel – especially for destinations weddings. We do limited number of destination weddings a year. Our Studio team handles the booking all travel logistics for your photographers. We book air travel, hotels, local transportation, and any other requirements, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Most of our crew are based in New York, so it is easy for us to travel to any place in the world.
Print & Album
Do you offer wedding album?
Yes. I do offer wedding albums. Luxury, heirloom quality albums are available in select collections and as an add on before or after your event. There are an array of sizes and cover options. I also offer parent albums.
Do I get to pick the photos for my album?
Yes, you will be able to pick your favorite images from your online proofing gallery, which will be used as a guideline during your album designing process.
How many photos can we put in an album?
It depends on the album, we offer few different album options. However, we recommend that you select about 40-50 photos. Once you submit your selection, we will organize the entire layout of your selected photos and will place them in chronological order and email you the digital proof for you to review.
How long does it take for an album or albums to be produced?
Production times vary, but usually within 4-6 weeks from the time you select your images. You will receive two layout change approvals before it goes to print.
Do you shoot RAW and how do you process your files?
Yes, We do shoot RAW files. RAW files need to be color and exposure corrected. This is done by hand or rather eye. To do this, we use professional grade software as is usual in the pro-photography world.
We do a lot of culling, editing and juxtaposing – and, well the top photos get a little love in Photoshop (trust us – you would never know it!). We have a great team of editors here in the studio that are dedicated to making sure the photos look great.
Do you offer black and white as well as color?
Yes. I feel that converting some of the images to black and white emphasizes the people along with the mood and excitement of the wedding.
Business & Details
What is required to book my date?
In order to book your date, a 25% retainer and your signed agreement is required. In case of cancellation, the retainer fee is non-refundable.
What type of equipment do you use?
I shoot with Nikon D850, D800, Z6 (45.7 megapixels) with variety of professional Nikon lenses and lighting gears.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Yes, we always come prepared with backup camera and lighting gear.
Do you have liability insurance for our wedding?
Yes we have full coverage of our photo, video and photo-booth. We will provide documentation to your venue about a month before your wedding day.
Can you provide my venue with a Certificate of Insurance?
Yes, Of course!
How long have you been in business?
I’ve been in business since 2008 and have photographed over 800 weddings.
Have you shot at our venue before?
Event though I’ve shot at more than a hundred venues, so there is a good chance that I have. However, if I have not, I will get to the venue early on the day of and be sure to do a walk-through to scout out the best photography locations. However, my experience shooting at a variety of venues will ensure that I’m able to adapt to any setting and produce images consistent with the ones you see in my portfolio.
Can I reschedule my Wedding because governments and public health organizations banning large gathering due to COVID-19 Pandemic.
You can reschedule your event to any other date as long if the date is available.
Whats your Policy for COVID-19 Cancellations and Postponements.
As stated on your contract and as per the agreement, there is no refund policy if the event does not take place on the reserve event date. However, because of the unprecedented situation we are in, we are offering flexibility in our policy, so that you can use your deposit funds without paying any additional penalty or losing your full deposit.
