Ting and Sohrab were married few times to each other past five years, First in China, Boston and New York maybe in England Next year. The opportunity to photograph Ting and Sohrab was an absolute pleasure. They were just amazing fun loving couple with awesome chemistry. My day started with Sohrab at Waldorf Astoria, where he was getting ready with his buddy then I came to their apartment in East side where Ting was getting ready with her girls. I must say beautiful apartment and interior. Since they were married few times already there wasn’t any formal ceremony. It was more like just have fun with all their friends and family. We went to Central Park for some formals, then walked around the city took some candid, later we came together at the Whitehall Bar + Kitchen in West Village for lots of fun, drinks, food and laughter.
There are few types of weddings. I am slightly uncomfortable categorizing a wedding as a “gay wedding” because honestly, it is a wedding between two people that love each other. So, lets not categorize them. Two people either men and men or women and women who love each other and want to share their promises with one another and of course, want to spend their life together. I love weddings and I am an equal rights photographer. I don’t care what your sexual preference is.
There’s a New York wedding and then there’s a New York City Wedding – filled with all the sights, sounds, light and beauty that makes New York City an unique destination. This wedding was awesome. Getting ready took place in The Bryant Park Hotel and ceremony/reception in Bryant Park Grill. The Bryant Park Hotel and a gorgeous couple braving the city streets all in one photo session. I think I can say Melissa and Matthew are true New Yorkers. And I am so glad to share their love for one another and their city. Congratulations to the Happy Couple!
